Summary

In 2012, a group of residents proposed a resolution drafted by CELDF to the Board of Trustees of Randolph Township, Ohio that would have banned unconventional shale and oil gas extraction and recognized the rights of natural communities within the township. However, the trustees refused to vote on the resolution, claiming they had no way of enforcing the proposed ordinance.
