Summary

In 2012, the city of Mansfield, Ohio adopted a community bill of rights guaranteeing the right to sustainable water, clean air, peaceful enjoyment of home, a sustainable energy future, and self-government. The charter amendment also recognized natural communities and ecosystems’ right to clean water and clean air. Mansfield still has this charter amendment in effect.
