Summary

In 2018, the Australian Peoples’ Tribunal for Community and Nature’s Rights heard testimony from expert and community witnesses about the impact industrial-scale agriculture has had on the continent’s ecosystems, the impact industrial-scale agriculture has had on First Nations Peoples’ and their food systems since colonization, and how to build human food systems that fit within ecological limits and alter modern agricultural practices so that they support Australia’s ecosystems and biodiversity. The tribunal has yet to release rulings.
