Summary
In 2018, a report by the Secretary-General outlines progresses made to implement the UN’s 2017 harmony with nature resolution and draws on contributions made by the eighth interactive dialogue of the General Assembly. The report said panellists in the dialogue “described promising approaches, trends and achievements, many of them initiated or promoted by the members of the Harmony with Nature Knowledge Network…” The report concludes by noting the increased momentum of Earth Jurisprudence initiatives and education, the importance of NGOs and civil society organizations in the implementation process of these initiatives, the need to expand the Harmony with Nature Knowledge Network, and its call to restore a respectful relationship with the earth.
