Summary

In 2014, CELDF, the New Hampshire Community Rights Network and Danbury Residents against Wind Turbines submitted an ordinance to the town of Danbury, New Hampshire banning unsustainable energy systems and recognizing rights of nature. It also declared the right to a sustainable energy future, scenic preservation, water, ecosystems, and self-government. Although the ordinance passed, it was revoked shortly after due to technical issues. The ordinance would have banned unsustainable energy systems and recognized rights of nature.
