Summary

In 2006, Rush Township in Pennsylvania adopted an ordinance recognizing rights of nature. The ordinance declared that sludge and dredge corporations possess no constitutional rights within the jurisdictions of the township and bans corporations from engaging in the land application of sludge within the township. The ordinance gives the township authorization to enforce the ordinance.
