Summary

In 2020, Earth Law Center Mexico presented amendments to the draft bill of the New General Water Law of Mexico, adding the recognition of rights of nature and specifically water’s rights, as well as a system of caretaking. This initiative was not accepted by the Chamber of Deputies.
