Summary

In 2014, residents of Herbron, New Hampshire adopted a community rights-based ordinance, declaring the town’s right to a sustainable energy future and banning new energy projects that violate that right in order to “protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents and ecosystems of Hebron.” The ordinance protects the right to scenic preservationm water, and self-government. It also recognized rights of nature and passed and is still in effect at the time of this summary.
