Summary
In 2014, a constitutional reform of the State of Guerrero in Mexico incorporates rights of nature in Article 2, along with the precautionary principle. The aforementioned Constitution already established measures for the respect of indigenous rights, human rights, as well as sustainable development.
The country of Mexico is composed of 32 federal entities: 31 states and Mexico City, an autonomous entity. The states of Mexico are autonomous in all matters concerning their internal affairs, and each state has its own congress and constitution.
