Summary

In 2014, CELDF and the Colorado Community Rights Network created a proposed amendment to the Colorado constitution, adding the right to local self-government. The amendment would have given the people of Colorado “the power to enact local laws protecting health, safety, and welfare by establishing the fundamental rights of individuals, their communities, and nature…” However, the amendment did not pass.
